Vegetables as a Valuable Component of Species-Appropriate Raw Feeding
When you feed your dog a BARF diet, the contents of its meals should come as close as possible to the diet in the wild. When a wild dog or wolf catches prey, it consumes almost the entire animal. This means that in natural feeding, the pre-digested stomach contents of the prey are also eaten. Since the hunted animals are mostly herbivores, their stomachs mainly contain fruits, vegetables, and herbs. These serve as valuable sources of minerals and vitamins.
